Life Background of Gawie J Le Roux
Gawie was born in Graham’s town in the Eastern Cape. In the beginning of 1970 my parents were transferred to Cape Town where we have established our self’s. Gawie have completed Grade 10 in 1981 at The De Grendel School in Milnerton Cape Town. Gawie also have Completed Grade 12 with Intec College in 1999. Gawie was called for Military service with effect of January 1982 at the army Gymnasium, Heidelberg Gauteng. While Gawie was busy with his military services he has shared a room with a person whom was a member of the local Afm Church. Gawie can remember that this person has ask him to attend some of the services with him but Gawie was not prepared to attend services due to that Gawie was part of the NG church at that stage. There was one day that Gawie did have decided to attend a service with him. Gawie was not familiar with what was happening in the Pentecostal church but have a new experience but Gawie did not want to do something about it at that stage in his life. After Gawie have completed his Military service at the end of 1983 he went to Pretoria to start with his training as an artisan. While Gawie was busy with his training he also has competed a course to give Sunday school at a local NG church in Pretoria after completion Gawie has give Sunday school classes for two years. At that stage Gawie did know that the Lord has called him for service but that something was short at that time. In my last year of study for artisan we have a special project at Macadodorp in Mpumalanga. Gawie did meet some body there whom a member of the PPC Church and he was has asked me to attend some of the services with him. While we were there Gawie did attend the service with him. One Wednesday the Pastor word has a special meaning but at that stage Gawie was not aware that God have spoken to him. That weekend we went back home for the weekend. While we are on our way back to the project on the Monday morning 22/ 09/ 1986 Gawie did relies, that God has spoken to him about his life. Gawie has after the day’s work decided to see the pastor of the local assembly and have explained to him what the problem was, and he has help me to become a reborn Christian. After we have completed the project we went back to Pretoria and Gawie did relies that he must been baptized and have take it up with the local pastor at the PPC Church Bergsig Pretoria Assembly.
Gawie was baptized on the 09/11/1986. The following day Gawie went for his final test as an artisan at Oliefantsfontein in Pretoria. In early December 1986 Gawie was informed that he has passed his trade test and was informed that he has been transferred to Nelspruit in early 1987. With my first service there Gawie was baptized with the Holy Spirit 07/ 01/ 1987. During this time Gawie is still aware of the calling to be at the Lord Service. In the beginning of 1988 Gawie has enrolled to A Bible School All Africa school of Theology (Today Hebron Bible College) and have completed his Diploma in Theology in 1990. During my practical training I have work in the local missionary and have help to minister to the local African people. Late in 1990 Gawie has became a member of a local Afm Church in Nelspruit and was interested in to evangelism work and complete a course in the Kingdom Advance Ministry Training program as a Director in Discipleship & Evangelism.
Gawie was involved in this program until the end of June 1992 where he has accepted job offering within Department of Correctional Services in August 1992. In 1999 Gawie did relies that God have sent people with counseling needs to me, from there he has started providing counseling services on a regular basis. Gawie did found that Thoelogos School of Ministry did present courses in counseling and has attended correspondence courses and have completed the certificate in Counseling at the end of 1999.
These courses have helped me to develop my Counseling Ministry. Gawie also have received a conformation out of the Word of God Matthew 28:19 “therefore go and make disciples of all nations…” and Philippians 2:4 “Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others”. Gawie was transferred to Cape Town in October 2001. Gawie was involved in the counseling Department of the PPC Lakeside Assembly until the end of July 2016. Gawie does hold registered destinations and accredited membership with the following professional bodies:
Gawie was a member of the Counsel for Counsellors South Africa from 2008 – 2017, due to SAQA compliance & regulations Gawie was obligated to apply for membership within the following professional bodies:
1.Association for Supportive Counsellors & Holistic Practioners and is registered as a Holistic Counsellor. Registration no HC 2018 -301
2.Counsel for Pastoral and Spiritual Counsellors and is registered as a Religious Professional. Registration no CPSC P0033-18
3.Ordained as a Minister of the Gospel and is a member of Joy Church Ministries International. Membership no JM106
4.The Family & Relationship Counselling Association of South Africa membership no (Membership Number: 10102018) and

Gawie has registered a private Counselling Practice during August 2008 and the practice is functional as from 15 December 2008. During 2013 Gawie has attended a preparation Course for ordination and has been Ordained in December 2013 as a Minister of the Gospel, Gawie did believe that he can make a difference in other people’s life, with the guidance’s of the Holy Spirit.
